Rehabilitation Consultant – Defence | No Billable KPIs

Looking for a Rehabilitation Consultant role where you can focus on meaningful client outcomes without the pressure of billable KPIs?

We're recruiting experienced Rehabilitation Consultants to support current Australian Defence Force (ADF) members across two Sydney Defence locations. This is an opportunity to apply your occupational rehabilitation experience in a unique clinical setting, helping serving personnel navigate recovery, rehabilitation and their return to work and everyday activities.

You don't need previous Defence experience to be considered. We're looking for clinicians with a strong occupational rehabilitation background who want to make a difference within a specialised client group.

About the Role You'll work with current ADF members to assess their rehabilitation needs,



identify barriers to recovery and develop tailored plans to support positive outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

- Conducting clinical and functional assessments
- Developing, implementing and reviewing rehabilitation plans
- Supporting recovery and return-to-work outcomes
- Identifying barriers and implementing appropriate strategies
- Preparing evidence-based reports and clinical documentation
- Collaborating with clients and relevant stakeholders throughout the rehabilitation process
- Supporting clients to work towards meaningful goals and improved functioning

About You:

- Degree-qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychologist, Exercise Physiologist, Nurse, Social Worker or Osteopath
- Minimum 12 months of proven occupational rehabilitation experience within your qualified and registered profession
- Current Australian professional registration or membership relevant to your discipline
- Robust clinical reasoning, report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a structured environment
- Australian citizen (mandatory – permanent residency is not accepted)
- Willing and able to work on-base from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, including a 30-minute break
- Willing to obtain the required Defence security clearance
