Machine Operators – Steel Manufacturing

Now Careers is currently seeking reliable, physically fit and motivated Machine Operators to join a well-established steel manufacturing company based in Lidcombe and Wetherill Park.
We have multiple temp-to-perm opportunities available across day and afternoon shifts, offering ongoing Monday-to-Friday work with overtime available when required.
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is highly regarded; however, candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

- Day Shift: Monday to Friday
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday
- Overtime: Available when required
- Important: Afternoon shift candidates must complete 4 weeks of training on day shift before transitioning to afternoon shift

Your Duties Will Include
- Operating and monitoring steel cutting, bending and processing machinery.
- Setting up and adjusting machinery to meet production requirements.
- Feeding steel materials into machinery and monitoring production processes.
- Measuring, cutting and preparing reinforcing steel to required specifications.
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure finished products meet manufacturing standards.
- Performing heavy manual handling and general production duties.




- Identifying and reporting machinery faults or operational issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

To Be Successful:
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing repetitive, physically demanding work.
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience in steel manufacturing, fabrication or heavy industrial environments considered an advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely handle heavy steel materials and perform manual labour.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Positive attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with overtime when required.
- Availability to commence ASAP.
