Crew Leader for Pipelaying role needed!
Crew Leader / Pipelayer - Geelong
Join a Growing Civil Infrastructure Team
We are currently seeking an experienced Crew Leader / Leading Hand Pipelayer to join a well-established civil contractor delivering subdivision and infrastructure projects throughout Geelong and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pipe crews on civil subdivision and infrastructure projects.
- Supervise and coordinate excavator operators and other plant operators.
- Set out daily works and manage crew productivity.
- Install stormwater, sewer and water main infrastructure.
- Read and interpret plans and service information.
- Ensure all works are completed to project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct pre-start meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers and subcontractors.
- Assist with trenching, pipe laying, pit installation and backfilling activities as required.
Essential Requirements
- Extensive experience in civil pipelaying.
- Previous experience leading crews on subdivision or civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of sewer,
stormwater and water main installation.
- Ability to manage and direct machine operators effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Ability to read construction plans and drawings.
Desirable
- Excavator Ticket (LE).
- Confined Space Ticket.
- First Aid Certificate.
- HR Licence.
- Water Industry experience.
