We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team at Watersprings Health Centre in Underwood, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice. Position is 4 days per week 8:30am to 5:30pm.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly and professional manner
- Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment calendar
- Handling patient inquiries and providing information about the practice's services
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, taking payments and maintaining patient records
- Assisting with the coordination of patient referrals and test results
- Providing support to the clinical team as needed
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinicians, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Proficient in basic computer skills including Word. Previous experience using Best Practice but not essential
- A friendly, empathetic, and professional manner with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service
- The ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
