Senior Manager, Tax & Business Advisory

The firm
A growing firm in Brisbane is seeking to bring on a Senior Manager in their Tax & Business Advisory Team. Joinging an established firm with multiple locations, you'll have the opportuntiy to build your client portfolio and team. Working directly with an experienced partner, you'll also have the opportunity to progress in the business to leadership and equity options.

The role
Own your portfolio of private groups, family businesses and owner-managed clients. You'll also lead and develop a team, and work directly with the partners on how the advisory side grows. This isn't a role where you review returns all day. It's a role where you shape the client relationship and the advice.

What you'll be doing

- Owning a client portfolio end to end: tax compliance, planning and advisory
- Advising on business structures, CGT, Div 7A, trusts, restructures and transactions
- Reviewing and signing off work, and coaching the team to get it right first time




- Spotting opportunities in your clients' businesses and turning them into advisory work
- Managing workflow, deadlines and fees
- Helping the partners win new work and grow the firm's profile in Brisbane

You'll fit if you

- Have 7+ years in public practice, with at least 2 managing people
- Are CA or CPA qualified (or close), with strong technical tax knowledge
- Have experience with private groups, trusts and business advisory
- Enjoy mentoring and bringing people up
- Want to be on a path to partnership, or at least have a say in the direction of the firm
