We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join our team at Hammerton's Jewellers in Mildura.

Jewellery is a pretty special thing to sell. From birthdays and anniversaries to engagements, milestones and those little "I deserve something lovely" moments, we're lucky enough to be part of some wonderful occasions in people's lives.

We're after someone who enjoys a good chat, has a natural way with people and genuinely loves helping customers find something special.

The position is part-time, around 3–4 days per week on a rotating roster, with the occasional short Saturday morning shift (and you'll be finished by 1pm!). A lovely balance between work and having time for everything else in life.

What you'll be doing

No two days are quite the same at Hammerton's, and that's part of the fun!

You'll be helping customers choose everything from a little everyday sparkle to something they'll treasure for a lifetime. You'll get to know our jewellery collections, help with sales, keep our displays looking beautiful and enjoy being part of a busy, friendly shop.

There'll be plenty to learn along the way, from diamonds and coloured gemstones to watches, gold and jewellery design. We don't expect you to know it all on day one. We're very happy to teach you!

Most importantly, you'll be helping create the kind of relaxed, welcoming experience that keeps our customers coming back.

Who we're looking for

Personality is a big part of this one!

We're looking for someone who's naturally warm, approachable and confident talking to people from all walks of life. Someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team and isn't afraid to have a laugh along the way.





Retail or customer service experience would certainly be helpful, but you don't need to have worked in jewellery before. A genuine interest, a willingness to learn and a great attitude are far more important to us.

You'll need to be reliable, comfortable with everyday computer tasks and happy working in a small team where everyone pitches in.

Above all, we're looking for someone who makes people feel welcome and comfortable, whether they're spending $50 or $5,000.

We're qualified about what we do, but we're certainly not stuffy! We like a friendly atmosphere, a bit of fun and making customers feel right at home.
