Experienced Lead Educator

The Creek Early Learning

Bring your experience, inspire your team and make a meaningful difference in children’s early years.

The Creek Early Learning is looking for an experienced Lead Educator with strong practical knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) to join our team.

We are seeking someone who can confidently lead a room, support fellow educators and create engaging learning environments where children feel safe, valued and inspired to explore. You will bring a thoughtful approach to teaching, a clear understanding of the planning cycle and the ability to turn your knowledge into meaningful everyday practice.

About the role

As a Lead Educator, you will:

- Lead the daily practice within your room, creating a welcoming, organised and engaging environment for children and educators.

- Plan, implement and evaluate learning experiences that respond to children’s interests, strengths, cultures and individual needs.

- Draw on your knowledge of the EYLF and QKLG to inform intentional teaching, assessment and reflective practice.

- Use observations, children’s voices and family input to guide planning and document meaningful learning.

- Guide and support your room team, modelling positive interactions, effective communication and consistent practice.

- Build solid, respectful relationships with families, keeping them connected to their child’s learning and development.

- Maintain a strong focus on child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and active supervision throughout the day.

What we are looking for

- Demonstrated experience as a Lead Educator in an early childhood education and care setting.

- Strong working knowledge of the EYLF and QKLG, with the confidence to explain and demonstrate how these inform your practice.

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent or higher qualification.

- Confidence in programming, documentation, assessment and critical reflection.

- The ability to lead collaboratively, support other educators and contribute positively to the team.

- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to your responsibilities.

- A commitment to protecting children’s rights and creating an environment where every child feels heard, respected and supported.

What we offer

We value the contribution our educators make and support their growth and wellbeing through:

- Quarterly incentives to recognise your contribution.

- Birthday leave to celebrate your special day.

- Paid training to support your ongoing professional development.

- Blue Card costs covered.

Apply now

If you are an experienced Lead Educator who takes pride in thoughtful teaching, strong relationships and leading a room with confidence, we would love to hear from you.

Submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your Lead Educator experience and how you apply the EYLF and QKLG in your everyday practice.

The Creek Early Learning is committed to child safety and wellbeing. We seek educators who share this commitment and uphold safe, respectful and inclusive practices every day.
