About the Role – Junior Room Lead Educator (2–3 Years)
Our Junior Room is a wonderful stage of early childhood, filled with curiosity, emerging independence, developing language, growing friendships and exciting milestones.
With a 1:5 educator-to-child ratio, our Junior Room provides opportunities to build meaningful relationships and support each child's individual learning and development.
As our Junior Room Lead Educator, you will:
- Create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where toddlers feel secure,
confident and valued
- Design and implement a meaningful, play-based educational program that reflects children's interests, abilities and developmental needs
- Support children's emerging independence, communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Build solid, respectful partnerships with children and families
- Lead and collaborate with your room team, encouraging shared ideas, reflection and contributions to the educational program
- Foster a positive team environment through clear communication, mutual respect and supportive leadership
- Encourage curiosity, creativity and exploration through thoughtfully planned experiences and environments
- Work collaboratively with the wider CHCCD team to support consistency and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Lead Educator, particularly with children aged 2–3 years, will be highly regarded.

This allows the successful applicant to enjoy a generous induction and supported transition period, providing time to settle into our service, build relationships with children, families and colleagues, and become familiar with our routines and philosophy before officially stepping into the Lead Educator role.
We are flexible with commencement dates and can accommodate an earlier start from November 2026 for those who would appreciate an extended transition period, or a later start where necessary.
Our priority is finding the right person and ensuring they feel welcomed, confident and supported as they join our CHCCD team.
