TyreSense Technician – Electrical & Electronic Systems

Build, install and troubleshoot advanced monitoring technology used across the mining industry.

RIMEX is seeking a skilled and hands-on TyreSense Technician to join our Perth team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with proven experience in cable assembly, wiring harness construction and electrical/electronic fault finding.

You’ll work with our innovative TyreSense technology, supporting the assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of advanced tyre pressure monitoring systems used in demanding mining and industrial environments.

About the Role

Reporting to the WA Manager, you will undertake a variety of hands-on technical activities, including:

- Constructing electrical cables and wiring harnesses to technical specifications.

- Performing cable preparation, termination and assembly.

- Assembling TyreSense monitoring systems and associated components.

- Preparing installation kits and equipment for deployment.

- Installing, configuring and commissioning electronic hardware.

- Conducting electronic testing, diagnostics and fault finding.

- Working with sensors, receivers, controllers and associated electronic equipment.

- Troubleshooting, servicing and repairing equipment.

- Providing technical support in the workshop and at customer mine sites.

- Maintaining accurate installation, testing and service documentation.

- Ensuring all work meets RIMEX quality, safety and operational standards.

About You





We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented technician who enjoys working with electrical and electronic equipment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

To be successful, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in cable building, wiring harness assembly or a similar technical role.

- Solid hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.

- Sound troubleshooting, diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and technical equipment.

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- A strong safety focus and the ability to follow technical procedures.

- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

Highly regarded, but not essential:

- Certificate III or higher in Electronics, Telecommunications, Communications/Radio or a related discipline.

- Experience with Ethernet, coaxial and other specialist cable terminations.

- Electrical or electronic testing and diagnostic experience.

- Exposure to tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), telemetry or communications technology.

- Previous experience supporting mining or industrial equipment.
