BP Little River is looking for reliable and hardworking Console Operators to join our busy service station. This role involves a combination of customer service, console operating and regular stock handling duties, including receiving deliveries, unpacking stock, replenishing shelves and maintaining a clean and well-stocked store throughout your shift. You will work around 18-30 hours per week, with hours ranging between 6am–6pm, 6pm–midnight.
Key responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and securely through point-of-sale systems
- Receive stock deliveries, check orders and put stock away in designated storage areas
- Regularly replenish shelves, fridges and displays throughout your shift to ensure the store remains fully stocked and well presented
- Rotate stock to ensure product freshness and check expiry dates
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised store, including stockrooms and storage areas
- Assist with general stock management, including monitoring stock levels and identifying items requiring replenishment
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues with POS systems and escalate complex problems appropriately
- Adhere to health, safety and security protocols to protect customers and staff
About you
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or a similar rapid-paced environment
- A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake regular stock handling and shelf replenishment duties
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock, unpacking deliveries and being on your feet throughout your shift
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and team members
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer equipment
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required for a casual role
- A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and remain productive during quieter periods
