We’re looking for a Design Manager who is skilled at connecting drivers of our clients building needs with opportunities to deliver high-quality construction outcomes — bringing together multidisciplinary teams, technical expertise and practical thinking to turn complex challenges into solutions that work on paper and on site.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the design process from concept through to IFC.
- Manage external consultants, engineers and design stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
- Facilitate design meetings and workshops, driving the resolution of technical and design-related challenges.
- Review design documentation to ensure quality, compliance, constructability and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Identify and implement value engineering and innovation opportunities that enhance project outcomes.




- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to align design solutions with programme, budget and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate design deliverables across multiple projects while proactively identifying and mitigating design risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the business.

- Confidence working within multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Highly Regarded Experience

- Degree qualification in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Design Manager, Senior Design Coordinator, Project Architect or similar role within the construction industry.
- Experience delivering commercial, industrial projects.
- Background working within an architectural, engineering or consultancy environment and looking to transition into a contractor-side role.
- Demonstrated experience managing consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Experience on Design and Construct (D&C;) projects from design development through to project delivery.
- Proven ability to drive value engineering outcomes and improve project performance.
- Familiarity with project management and design collaboration platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project.
