Lion & Mouse is looking for Disability Support Workers to provide assistance, including overnight and sleepover assistance to valued clients. In this role, you'll be making a real impact—helping people maintain independence, feel protected, and enjoy meaningful connections.

Key responsibilities

Provide high-quality support to individuals living with disabilities

Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility assistance

Support clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household duties

Ensure a safe and comfortable environment during night shifts

Engage in meaningful social interactions to enhance the well-being of clients

Monitor and respond to any overnight needs or emergencies

Transport participants as required, ensuring safe travel

Maintain accurate progress notes and document client interactions

Follow individual support plans to ensure quality care

Work collaboratively with other support staff, healthcare professionals, and families

About you

Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support, or Individual Support

Minimum 6 months of recent experience in disability, community, hospital, or aged care settings

Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance





Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

Hold a Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

Willingness to undergo a National Police Check upon employment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Availability for overnight and sleepover shifts

Strong problem-solving skills to adapt to clients' individual needs

Ability to build trusting and positive relationships with clients and their families

Ongoing regular shifts with rosters created in advance
