Field Service Technician – Mechanical & Electrical Equipment

Based from our Hallam facility, you'll travel throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas to service, maintain, repair and install specialised healthcare equipment. This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, takes pride in their workmanship and can be trusted to get the job done properly.

Key responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment faults

Servicing motors, batteries, lifting mechanisms and electronic control systems

Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections

Installing and commissioning specialised lifting equipment

Delivering, setting up and collecting hire equipment

Completing accurate service reports and maintenance documentation

Communicating professionally with customers, healthcare staff and families

Managing your daily service schedule and working independently

About you

Proven experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electrical equipment

Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Confidence working with motors, electrical controls and mechanical components

Experience using hand tools, testing equipment and technical documentation

The ability to work independently and manage daily service appointments

Good communication skills and a professional,

Reliability, initiative and pride in their workmanship

A current driver's licence valid in Victoria

Existing legal working rights in Australia
