About Us

Our client is a well-established Japanese-owned organizationwith a growing presence in Australia. They are currently seeking an experiencedAccountant / Senior Accountant to support the CFO and contribute to thecontinued growth of the business. This role offers broad exposure acrossfinancial reporting, business partnering, process improvement, and teamleadership within a collaborative and qualified environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

- Leadmonth-end and year-end close processes
- Prepareaccurate financial statements and management reports
- Supportbudgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Analyzefinancial performance and provide insights to management
- Supportthe CFO with financial and operational matters
- Workclosely with internal and external stakeholders across Australia and Japan
- Ensurecompliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internalcontrols
- Coordinateexternal audits and liaise with advisors where required
- Overseeaccounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Supervise,mentor, and support junior finance staff
- Drivecontinuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures




- Maintainfinancial information using Xero and other accounting systems
- Performad hoc finance and accounting duties as required

Your Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

- Bachelor’sdegree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum3 years of accounting and finance experience within Australia
- Previousexperience at Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, Assistant FinanceManager, or equivalent level
- Strongfinancial reporting and management accounting experience
- Experiencewith budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Demonstratedexperience supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Solidunderstanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
- Experienceusing Xero and other accounting systems
- Strongstakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- FluentJapanese and English language skills, both written and verbal
- CPA orCA qualification, or progress towards completion, is highly regarded
- Abilityto work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Abilityto commute to the office by car
