How you will make contributions that matter

As the National Business Manager – Independent Grocery (Metcash), you will take ownership of a key national portfolio and drive growth through strong customer partnerships and category leadership. Reporting to the Head of Sales – Independent Grocery, you’ll take full ownership of commercial outcomes while partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key elements of your role will include:

Developing and executing Joint Business Plans to deliver sales growth and category performance

Building robust, long-term relationships with Metcash and Multi Store Operators becoming a trusted commercial partner

Driving distribution, share of shelf, profitability and market share outcomes

Leading forecasting and demand planning accuracy across internal and external stakeholders

Analysing market and scan data to identify opportunities and drive strategic decisions

Managing P&L; outcomes including trade investment and promotional planning

Supporting recent product development,



tenders and key customer initiatives

About you

Proven experience in a National Business Manager position

Strong experience within Independent Grocery (essential) / Metcash

Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial growth and strategic account plans

Strong financial and commercial acumen with P&L; ownership experience

Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Strong analytical capability with experience using market data/scan insights

A proactive, resilient mindset with a drive to exceed results
