An experienced Sales Manager role focused on growing Shawl Sports within the school market across Melbourne and beyond. This is a hands-on sales representative role involving calling on customers, visiting schools and spending time on the road. You will manage existing relationships while actively developing new school accounts and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Build strong, trusted relationships with schools, teachers, sports coordinators, business managers and other key contacts.

Regularly visit customers and prospective customers including some sales trips to regional Victoria and beyond.

Manage and grow existing school accounts through consistent contact and reliable follow-up.

Identify and develop recent school business, including prospecting, appointments and on-site product discussions.

Understand each school's needs and recommend practical sporting equipment solutions.

Prepare quotes, follow up opportunities and convert enquiries into sales.

Maintain accurate customer notes, opportunities and follow-up activities.

Work closely with customer service and operations to provide a reliable customer experience.

Represent Shawl Sports at relevant school, education and sporting events when required.

About you

You are an experienced, confident and self-motivated sales professional.

You enjoy face-to-face selling and are comfortable spending time on the road.

You build relationships naturally and take the time to understand what customers need.





You are proactive in planning customer visits, prospecting and following up opportunities.

You are organised, dependable and able to manage a sales territory with limited supervision.

You communicate clearly and work well with both customers and internal teams.

Previous success in an external sales representative, account management or business development role is required.

Previous experience dealing with schools or selling into the education market will be looked upon favourably.

Experience in sporting goods, sports equipment, education, wholesale or a related industry will also be highly regarded.
