INFOMATE PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS – Noble Park North VIC
INFOMATE PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing team in Noble Park North, VIC. This is a Full time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills and contribute meaningfully to our clients' financial success. You will work in a supportive environment where your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy directly impact the quality of service we deliver.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and processing financial records, including ledger entries, journal entries and account reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients across various industries
Preparation and lodgement of income tax returns, BAS/IAS/FBT returns
Maintaining accurate and organised client files and accounting records
Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
Assisting with tax compliance matters and preparation of relevant tax documentation
Supporting senior accountants with client inquiries and accounting matters
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
A bachelor degree in Accounting or similar discipline
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting concepts
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
Professional approach and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping or accounting practices
Familiarity with XERO or other cloud-based accounting platforms
Prior experience in similar field preferred.
