About the role

Our Gertrude Street store is the first home of Wilson & Dorset in Victoria, and we need someone to run it brilliantly. You'll lead a team of four, deliver an exceptional on-brand customer experience, hit the numbers, and keep the store humming day to day. It's a hands-on leadership role built on doing the fundamentals exceptionally well.

Key responsibilities

Leading daily store operations — rosters, systems, security, meetings, the lot

Delivering and coaching an exceptional customer experience, every customer, every time

Owning sales, budget and merchandising for the store

Managing stock, inventory and stocktakes with accuracy

Recruiting, training and building a solid local team culture

Spotting local trade opportunities — designers, architects, hotels — and warm-introducing them to our Trade team





Using AI tools to cut the admin grind so your time goes to your customers and your team

About you

Proven experience leading a high-performing retail team

A genuine passion for design, interiors and wool

A warm, engaging personality that fits our brand

Confidence with Shopify, Cin7, POS/EFTPOS or the ability to pick up new systems fast

Physical fitness — you're on your feet most of the day and lifting stock

Someone who takes ownership, uses initiative, and doesn't let problems sit
