My family lives in Kew with our 3 children aged 8, 6 and nearly 4; our daughter goes to Camberwell Primary while the other two do a mix of kinder (Hawthorn East) + childcare (Kew).
We are looking for someone who could help weekday afternoons from around 3-6:30pm - helping with school pick-ups (and drop-offs to after-school activities for the older 2). We may also request help with executing easy dinner plans for the kids (and tidying up afterward). To start, we'd need help 3 days a week - Mon / Tue / Thu.
During school holidays or weeks when one parent is traveling for work, we may also ask for more hours - as possible.
Ideally, we would love to find someone who is:
* Mature and experienced - bringing confidence, comfort and good judgment around small kids - able to bring fun and playfulness yet maintain firm boundaries
* Warm and kind - creating strong positive attachments with our kids
* Engaged and development oriented - thoughtful about exposing the kids to activities and experiences that will help them learn and grow - i.e., on the floor talking and playing vs looking at phones + screens
*Trustworthy, responsible and prompt - shows up when and where promised - always with honesty and integrity
*Respectful - listens to and supports our intentions as parents - takes care to leave the space better than you found it
* Has a drivers license, car and strong driving record - and willing and able to drive 2-3 kids
Bonus points would be someone who:
* Has flexibility for additional hours as needed (esp. during school holidays)
* Speaks French
Will pay a competitive rate for the right fit.
Please message me with CV and references if interested.
