Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa Afrimat CM Eastern Cape (Pty) Ltd, based in Gqeberha has a vacancy for a: Millwright Minimum Qualifications / Experience
• An electrical qualification with a minimum of N3 and a wireman’s license – 3 – 5 yrs experience
• Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the company standards for medical fitness
• Must have sound knowledge and understanding of the mining environment
• Must have a valuable understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to the quarry
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Planning and decision-making skills
• The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
• Executing daily electrical maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensuring all electrical equipment operates to required OEE’s)
• Installing, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical systems, machinery and equipment
• Identifying causes of electrical dysfunctions and repairing




• Compliance with all electrical work to SANS0142
• Devising and implementing electrical maintenance plans
• Complete required legal inspections and maintain the required SHE system
• Be able to read and interpret all electrical drawings
• Install, align and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipmen
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, bearings and hydraulics systems
• Conduct trouble shooting and root cause analysis on mechanical breakdowns
• Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and balance of machinery to prevent wear and tear.
• Read and interpret technical drawings
