Are you an experienced catering professional ready to pass on your skills to the next generation of chefs and hospitality staff?
About the Role
You will plan and deliver engaging teaching across catering, professional cookery and food service, combining practical kitchen sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed.
Working as part of a supportive curriculum team with a further education provider in the South West, you'll assess learner work, track progress and give clear, timely feedback that helps students gain industry-recognised qualifications and move on to employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering catering and professional cookery sessions in training kitchens and classrooms.
Preparing schemes of work, learning resources and assessments.
Assessing practical and written work and providing constructive feedback.
Monitoring learner progress, attendance and achievement.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health and safety in practical settings.




Contributing to curriculum development in line with current industry practice.
What We're Looking For
A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in catering, professional cookery, hospitality or a related subject
Substantial industry experience in commercial kitchens, catering or food service
Strong practical knowledge of food preparation, service delivery and food safety
The ability to support learners with varied needs in a vocational learning environment
Desirable (but not essential):
A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Level 3 qualification or equivalent in catering, qualified cookery, hospitality or related subject
Substantial industry experience in commercial kitchens, catering or food service
Strong practical knowledge of food preparation, service delivery and food safety
Ability to support learners with wide-ranging needs in vocational learning environment
