We're currently looking for an extremely proficient, Lead Java Developer to join our financial services client in Sydney on a 6 month, rolling contract to help them build their cloud-native platform.
The role will encompass both hands-on engineering & leadership; you will lead technical delivery from initial system design through to development and production, while mentoring more junior devs and enhancing the team's overall capability and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Robust Core Java skills
Experience developing high-performing APIs in Java/Spring Boot within scaled, cloud environments.
Robust hands-on experience on Spring/Spring Boot
Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS)




Extensive experience with version control tools like Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD, code review
Experience with Infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform is essential - greenfield setting
