The company: Robert Half are partnering with a well-established not-for-profit in the Melbourne CBD to find a Systems Accountant.
This is a 6 to 8 month contract with a explicit intention to make the role permanent.
The group is growing following a recent merger.
This role will lead the finance systems side of that growth, while also owning core month end and reporting.
It's a rare mix of project and BAU work in a purpose-driven organisation.

The role Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, dashboards and reports.
Analyse revenue, costs, margins and KPIs, with explicit commentary on variances.
Build financial models and scenario analysis to support key decisions.
Lead the annual budget and forecasts with budget owners.
Challenge assumptions and track performance, flagging issues and recommending action.
Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations and reconciliations.
Support month end and year end close, audit and statutory reporting.




Maintain solid financial controls and audit-ready records.
Partner with leaders and budget owners, turning numbers into practical insight.
Support business cases, pricing, investment decisions and cost management.
Improve reporting and finance processes through automation and better use of systems.
Maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting structures.
Support system migrations and implementations, including data cleansing, UAT and go-live.
Your profile: CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion.
A track record in system implementation, data migration or entity integration.
Solid month end and consolidation experience across multiple entities.
Confident working with senior stakeholders, system users and external vendors.
Not-for-profit experience is a bonus but not essential.
