An established Sydney-based passenger transport organisation is seeking an experienced, motivated and commercially minded General Manager to lead its day-to-day operations and guide the business through its next phase of development. Operating within a highly regulated industry, the organisation has an extensive history in passenger transport and is committed to delivering reliable, safe and professional services across Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who combines strong operational management skills with technological capability, financial oversight and a commitment to regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency, service quality and financial sustainability.
- Manage dispatch operations, business technology, IT systems and external service providers.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reporting and business administration.
- Ensure compliance with NSW regulations and maintain the organisation's Safety Management System.
- Manage driver and vehicle compliance, customer complaints and operational performance.
- Maintain relationships with drivers, operators, regulators and other key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for business growth,



operational improvements and technological innovation.
- Report directly to the Board of Directors on operational and financial performance.

About you

- Proven experience in general management, operations or a senior leadership role.
- Solid financial management and business administration skills.
- Excellent IT literacy and confidence managing business software and technology.
- Sound understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and workplace safety.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive business improvements.
- Familiarity with dispatch systems.
