Synergie Australia is seeking an AO5 Superintendent’s Representativefor atrusted Government client located in Mackay.
The important parts:
- Pay:$65–$70 per hour + Super | Duration:Commencing as soon as possible through to 30 January 2027 (potential for extension)
What you will be required to do:
As the Superintendent’s Representative, you will:
- Provide contract administration support across major projects
- Interpret and administer the contractual obligations of all parties
- Apply contractual provisions honestly, fairly and consistently
- Undertake regular inspections of construction sites
- Coordinate and participate in scheduled site meetings
- Issue variation orders in accordance with contract requirements
- Assess contractual claims and supporting documentation
- Process contractors’ requests for information
- Monitor project progress against contractual requirements
- Verify completed work against contract documentation
- Prepare defects lists and monitor rectification activities
- Confirm that required Building Act compliance inspections are completed
- Maintain accurate inspection, compliance and project records
- Assist with dispute-resolution processes
- Implement contract administration policies and procedures
- Support post-contract contractor performance evaluations
- Communicate potential cost, time and quality issues to stakeholders
- Contribute to quality assurance and process-improvement activities
- Apply workplace health and safety requirements across project activities
To be successful in the role you will:
- Demonstrated construction contract administration experience
- Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional construction contracts
- Experience supervising building or engineering contracts
- The ability to interpret and apply contractual obligations
- Experience assessing claims, variations and requests for information
- Knowledge of building compliance and quality requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities
- Sound judgement when making contract-related decisions
- The ability to identify and communicate project risks
- Strong stakeholder and contractor relationship-management skills
- The ability to work independently and report emerging issues promptly
- A clear understanding of workplace health and safety principles
Experience administering government building contracts will be highly regarded.
