Our Woronora Memorial Park site, located in Sutherland NSW is seeking a compassionate and professional Chapel Concierge to join our Customer Service team. This role supports families, funeral directors and visitors by ensuring chapel services run smoothly, respectfully and to a high standard.
About the Role
The Chapel Concierge coordinates chapel services and provides personalised support during services. You will manage audio-visual systems, assist with administration and help deliver a seamless end-to-end experience for families.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support all chapel services
- Greet funeral directors and complete service checks
- Operate and troubleshoot audio-visual, live streaming and camera systems
- Assist families and funeral directors with presentations
- Ensure chapels and surrounding areas are clean, safe and professionally presented
- Perform daily AV checks and minor maintenance
- Liaise with funeral directors and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Support Customer Care with reception, bookings and administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate records in the CMS
- Build positive stakeholder relationships and identify improvement opportunities
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role (events or hosting experience highly regarded)
- Experience in a service-focused environment
- Robust interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism
- Confident using technology, including audio-visual equipment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Experience using CRM systems and business phone systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Comfortable handling sensitive situations with tact and discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional personal presentation and a friendly, engaging manner
