The EH Way
At Employment Hero, we’re proud of our unique DNA, which we call The EH Way.
- We are Mission First – Our Mission determines what we work on, where we invest, and where we focus. Every decision runs through a single filter: does this accelerate our Mission?
- We are Remote First – we champion a remote environment with a preference for asynchronous communication and a high degree of autonomy
- We are AI First – we are committed to using AI to accelerate our mission; AI is not just a tool, it’s a fundamental part of how we operate, innovate, and scale
- We Live by Our Values – we role model our values 100% of the time
- We Expect High Performance – we set a high standard and we’re not satisfied with being average
This role
We are looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist who is an AI-first automation specialist, possessing the deep Marketo expertise required to dismantle manual processes and replace them with autonomous systems.
In this role, you will be the architect of our marketing engine. You are not just a campaign executor; you are a systems orchestrator tasked with driving the transition from traditional, manual ways of working toward a future of AI-assisted automation. Your mission is to ruthlessly eliminate human friction and technical debt, leveraging AI to build smarter, self-sustaining workflows that redefine operational excellence.
This will include
- Platform Management & Support: Manage the day-to-day operations of our Marketo instance to support the broader business, ensuring high system uptime, flawless execution, and scalable processes.
- Lead Investigations & Troubleshooting: Act as the ultimate problem-solver for funnel leakage. Conduct deep-dive lead investigations to troubleshoot routing issues, scoring anomalies, and synchronisation errors between Marketo and Salesforce.
- Operational & Campaign Optimisation: Drive continuous Marketo optimisation. You will look beyond “how it’s always been done” to streamline campaign logic, apply AI to repetitive processes, and increase our speed-to-market.
- Cross-Functional Business Alignment: Develop a comprehensive, solid understanding of Employment Hero’s marketing, sales, and overarching business processes. You will deconstruct these business requirements into raw data constraints and technical solutions.
- System Overhaul & Simplification: Partner with the Senior Marketing Operations Manager on high-level, strategic projects aimed at ruthlessly overhauling and simplifying our Marketo instance. Your goal is to eliminate technical debt and build a clean, sustainable “Marketecture.”
- List Operations Management: Manage and oversee the List Operations function (2 Direct Reports). You will ensure pristine data hygiene, accurate segmentation, and timely list execution, while proactively exploring how AI and data enrichment agents can automate these historically manual tasks.
- Ruthless Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for all systems and workflows. You will ensure that our marketing infrastructure is never a “black box,” making processes transparent, accessible, and easy for the broader team to understand.
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring
- Deep Marketo/CRM Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on, advanced experience managing Marketing Automation Platforms (Marketo preferred) in a rapid-paced B2B environment.
- An AI-First Mindset: You don’t just want to build workflows; you want to build agentic workflows. You have a strong appetite for using AI tools (like LLMs, automated agents, or advanced orchestration platforms) to solve traditional MarOps problems.
- Systems Thinking: You possess a “first principles” problem-solving approach. You can see how data flows through the entire MarTech ecosystem (from initial touchpoint to Salesforce opportunity) and understand how to build solutions that scale.
- CRM Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, specifically how it integrates with MAPs (Marketo preferred) (custom objects, field mapping, lifecycle stage transitions, and sync mechanics).
- Operational Discipline: High autonomy with a focus on delivering value over volume. You are comfortable pushing back on scope creep to prioritize system integrity and business impact.
- Growth & Improvement Mindset: You possess an insatiable curiosity about the “why” and a relentless obsession with continuous improvement. Guided by first-principles thinking, you believe that “the best part is no part” and constantly seek to simplify or remove unnecessary complexity.
What we can offer
At Employment Hero, we don’t just talk about a better way to work. We live it.
Joining Employment Hero means you’ll:
- Work in a remote-first environment, giving you the autonomy to do your best work while delivering meaningful outcomes.
- Be trusted to own your work, make decisions, and have a real impact from day one.
- Access cutting-edge AI tools and technology that help you move faster, think bigger, and amplify your expertise.
- Surround yourself with ambitious, high-performing teammates who will challenge, support and inspire you to do the best work of your career.
- Own ESOP (Employee Share Options) in one of the world’s fastest-growing technology companies, so you can share in the value you help create.
- Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including generous parental leave, subsidised egg freezing, a home office allowance, and outstanding learning and development opportunities to support your growth.

The DevOps Team at Enosi is responsible for the development of Enosi’s Powertracer Platform. At Enosi, the developers also own the operational support of the platform.
We have rewritten Powertracer to scale to over a hundred thousand households, businesses and generation sources, trading their energy and delivering traceability of supply to customers. At this scale we will be responsible for delivering the trading and tracing between supply and demand of electrical energy in the gigawatt hours a year range.
If you are ready to challenge an industry that has long lagged behind the innovation curve, and be part of driving emissions to true zero, we want to hear from you.
We are looking for recent university graduates, with a degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering or computer science, or if you have undertaken an alternative “learn to code”. You will join us as an Associate Engineer, with six month rotations in the different engineering domains:
Infrastructure and observability engineering
At the completion of the three rotations, you will have the opportunity to progress to a software or infrastructure engineer role in an area that interests you (notwithstanding business needs).
Examples of problems you'll be solving
Introducing new React components to Powertracer’s frontend
Owning the introduction of new API features in our microservices
Integrating new API features from microservices through the GraphQL interface for presentation in the front end
Refining the observability capabilities across all services, including the front end
Refactoring Terraform modules used in the deployment of infrastructure an applications
You are great because…
You’ve completed your degree or coursework in software engineering or related field
You’ve shown your interest in your career path through personal projects that go beyond the requirements of your education program
You may have some professional software engineering experience, between one and two years
You understand the importance of maintaining source code, in particular using git repositories (we’re a Github team)
You are aware of the software development life cycle, particularly in a culture of continuous deployment (we love Buildkite)
You understand the importance of clear documentation, and are willing to contribute to it
You’ve had experience working with cloud service providers (we use AWS, but the principles apply across the major providers)
You’ve learnt a little (or a lot) about how Terraform can make life easier
You’ve learnt a little (or a lot) about Go, and how it can be leveraged in serverless and container solutions
You’ve learnt a little (or a lot) about React and GraphQL, especially if you’ve built some projects with it
You’ve spent time working with Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence products
You’re comfortable working remotely, communicating primarily over Slack (chat, voice and video)
You can show us your technical experience
We will want to understand more about your skills, including your engineering track record, experience across the software development lifecycle, agile methods, devops, incorporation of testing. Having some example work that could be reviewed would be appreciated.
