About the role

As a Personal Care Assistant in residential aged care, you'll play an important role in supporting residents' health, wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:





- Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, showering, dressing and grooming.

- Providing assistance with meals and supporting residents with their nutritional needs.

- Offering social and emotional support to promote residents' wellbeing and independence.

- Communicating effectively and respectfully with residents, families and clinical staff.

- Following individual care plans and facility procedures to ensure safe, person-centred care.

- Observing and reporting changes in residents' health, behaviour or wellbeing to the appropriate clinical staff.

- Maintaining residents' privacy, dignity and comfort at all times.

Essential requirements

Candidates must be able to provide the relevant documentation required for their position and placement, including:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability Support, or an eligible equivalent qualification.

- Current National Police Check.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Working with Children Check (Employee).

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Evidence of influenza vaccination.

- Australian working rights.
