Council is seeking a motivated and reliable General Labourer to join our Water and Sewerage Reticulation team. You’ll play a key role in the maintenance and construction of water and sewerage infrastructure across the Goondiwindi Region.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out general labouring duties within Water and Sewerage reticulation and operational areas as directed.
- Perform routine inspections of infrastructure and undertake associated maintenance tasks.
- Identify faults or operational issues and provide recommendations to the Supervisor for corrective action.
- Participate in the on‑call roster and respond to after‑hours emergencies when required.




- Complete all training necessary for the effective performance of the role.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Technical Officer, or Supervisor – Water and Sewerage.

Pay & Conditions

Pay Level: Stream B

- Level 2: $65 953.74 p.a. to Level 3: $ 66 738.21 p.a.
- Additional allowances apply, including on‑call and overtime when worked.

Pay rates are in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and the Queensland Local Government Industry Award – State 2017 .

Position Details

- Status: Permanent, full‑time
- Hours: 38 hours per week
- Roster: 19‑day month (with a rostered day off)
- On‑Call: Availability required for roster participation
