About the Role

Be the first voice of Rydges and turn every enquiry into a memorable guest experience. As a Reservations Agent, you’ll handle bookings by phone, email and online chat, helping guests find the perfect room, rate and package while growing direct bookings and revenue. Key Accountabilities

- Accurately handle bookings, waitlists, cancellations, and special requirements using PMS (Opera) and related systems.
- Act as a trusted contact for guests, addressing inquiries, preferences,



and concerns while ensuring seamless check-in/check-out processes.
- Promote hotel services, offers, and upgrades to enhance guest stays.
- Log guest complaints, update profiles, and elevate issues to management promptly.
- Maintain and merge guest/company profiles for accurate reporting and recognition.
- Collaborate effectively with hotel teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Assist colleagues with additional duties as required to support overall team performance.

Skills & Experience

- Similar experience in a customer service role, ideally within a hotel or resort, with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome and cared for.
- Confident communicator who’s approachable and ready to handle both compliments and concerns with ease.
- Fluent in English, with extra language skills a bonus.
- Organised and able to juggle priorities, meet deadlines, and keep things running smoothly—even when it’s busy.
- Tech-savvy, with experience using the Opera system is idea, with a strong understanding of other computer systems.
- Creative problem-solver who turns challenges into opportunities for memorable guest experiences.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a polished appearance, and takes pride in personal grooming and uniform standards.
- Flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
