Working directly with Principal Lawyer Abbey John, you will gain hands-on experience in wills, estate planning, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, probate and deceased estate administration.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct initial client consultations and obtain estate-planning instructions, with appropriate supervision.

- Draft wills, powers of attorney and other estate-planning documents.

- Assist with testamentary trusts and more complex succession matters.

- Prepare probate applications and estate-administration documentation.

- Manage routine client matters, correspondence and follow-ups.

- Conduct legal research and identify matters requiring senior legal review.

- Maintain accurate electronic client files and ensure deadlines are met.





- Work closely with the Principal Lawyer and support team to deliver excellent client service.

About You

- Admitted to practise law in Australia and eligible to hold an appropriate practising certificate.

- Approximately 1–2 years’ post-admission experience preferred.

- Experience in wills, estates, probate or succession law highly regarded.

- Strong legal drafting, research and communication skills.

- Confident and professional when communicating directly with clients.

- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management.

- Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of assigned matters.

- Able to work independently within an appropriately supervised remote setting.

Newly admitted solicitors with substantial pre-admission experience in wills and estates are also encouraged to apply.
