Retail Sales Assistant (Part Time) - 1001 Optometry Burwood

For over 30 years, 1001 Optometry has been a trusted name in premium eyewear and optical services. With 16 boutique stores across Australia and a growing online presence, we are home to some of the most prestigious luxury eyewear brands, including Lindberg, Dita, Cartier, Dior, Prada, Celine and Ray-Ban.

Our mission is to provide exceptional eye care in a setting that feels more like a luxury fashion house than a clinic.

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our Burwood boutique. This is a part-time role on the shop floor, supporting patients and customers through their eyewear journey, from greeting and styling through to dispensing support and aftercare.

You will work closely with the store team and optometrists, and you will be part of a tight-knit store team that serves a diverse local community.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver a warm, high-end customer experience on the shop floor
- Assist with frame styling, sales and the full patient journey

- Support optometrists and the team with dispensing, collections and aftercare
- Keep the boutique presentation to 1001 standard
- Help with daily store operations, including stock, merchandising and admin
- Build relationships with returning patients and centre shoppers

About you

Confident, motivated and comfortable on a busy shop floor

A genuine interest in fashion, service and people

Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a small team

Happy to learn optical retail and our house brands

Available for retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

Mandarin and/or Cantonese speakers are highly regarded

Previous optical or specialty-retail experience is valued, but not required. We will provide training to the right person.

You will get hands-on experience in a boutique where clinical care meets designer style, with training, a robust team, and real career growth across our store network.
