Sydney NSW | $88,500 Base Salary + Commission | Field-Based Role

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a confident, motivated and results-driven Field Collections Officer to join an established Australian financial services organisation.

If you enjoy working independently, meeting people face-to-face and using your communication and negotiation skills to achieve results, this could be a great opportunity.

You’ll manage your own portfolio of customer accounts, conducting field visits, building rapport and negotiating practical repayment solutions.

This is a hands-on, field-based position suited to someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys a challenge and is comfortable having direct conversations with customers.

What you’ll be doing

- Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts across Sydney.
- Conduct residential door-to-door visits and engage customers face-to-face.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements and resolve outstanding accounts.
- Build rapport, understand customer circumstances and identify suitable solutions.
- Follow up customers via phone and maintain accurate account records.
- Work independently to achieve portfolio and performance targets.

What we’re looking for

We’re open to candidates from field sales, door-to-door sales, collections, customer service or other customer-facing backgrounds.

- Confidence approaching and engaging customers face-to-face.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.




- Resilience and the ability to navigate challenging conversations professionally.
- A self-motivated, organised and results-focused approach.
- Confidence using mobile technology and customer management systems.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Previous debt collection experience is advantageous but not essential. We’re equally interested in candidates with strong transferable skills and the right attitude.
