Our client is currently seeking Hatchery Assistants for their Hatchery in Mareeba. With a strong focus on team culture, safety, and fast paced environment.
The position involves working in a Poultry Hatchery with a variety of duties. Working UP TO 20-30 hours per week.
Starting at a rate of $33.11 p/h + $5 daily attendance bonus with the potential to gain more hours. Must be available for early morning starts and adaptable with start times.
Schedule
Shifts are Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri starting from 6am

Requirements
- Must have your own transport and driver’s licence
- Residing in MAREEBA OR Suburbs around NOT cairns
- Must NOT own or have any birds, chickens, or pigs at your residence
- Be fit and healthy
- Great numeracy skills
- Enjoy working in a fast passed environment
- Be flexible and available for various shifts
- Have Birth certificate or passport
- Must be residing in Mareeba, Locals encouraged to apply!
Duties
- Counting hatched chicks
- Sorting eggs and stock rotation
- Cleaning transporter baskets
- Heavy lifting may be involved
- General site cleaning
- Operating a gurney
