We are currently seeking an experienced and practical Toolmaker - CNC Specialist fitter to work in our prototype machine shop. You will be required to work in a flexible manner with the product development team to turn product designs into reality. In additional, you will also be providing manufacturing support on part rework activities, fabricating jigs/fixture to improve the ease of manufacturing. This role would suit someone who has robust machining skills, but who also is creative and able to solve engineering problems.



In addition to machine operation and programming the successful candidate will also be a craftsman, good with all manner of hand tools and enjoy creating sophisticated precision parts.

Qualifications

Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Turning or Tool Making

Experience in a low volume production or prototype facility

High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to low tolerances

CNC programming experience

Strong drawing comprehension with a good understanding of GD&T;

Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM Software (e.g. Siemens NX and Siemens NX CAM, Solidworks, Solidcam and Fusion360) would be an advantage
