FEMALE ONLY Experienced Disability Support Workers- Sunbury

K&S; Disability Care is seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our team in Sunbury, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live as independently as possible and participate fully in their communities. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering compassionate, person-centred care that respects the dignity and autonomy of every individual we support. The successful applicant will provide support within the participant's home and community. The support workers must be comfortable working with animals in the home especially the family dogs.

Key responsibilities

Provide in-home support and trauma informed care to participants in the Sunbury area

Support within the participant's home and community

Community access and daily activities

Support for community mobility and transport

Follow strict environmental and chemical restrictions

Recognise early signs of escalation and provide de-escalation support

Communicate calmly and clearly





Provide consistent, person-centred support

Follow detailed support plans, risk management strategies and professional guidance

About you

Previous Disability Support Worker experience – essential

Experience supporting behaviours of concern and complex support needs

Confidence working within a 1:1 support model

Strong understanding of de-escalation and positive behaviour support strategies

A calm, patient and consistent approach

Ability to recognise changes in behaviour, communication and emotional regulation

Clear English communication skills, both verbal and written

Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to build genuine rapport

Current Medication Administration/Medication Management competency and compliance

Ability to safely follow medication procedures, documentation requirements and participant support plans
