Your new role
As a Fixed Plant Steel Machine Operator, your duties will include:
- Operating fixed plant machinery to cut, shape and process steel components
- Measuring steel and preparing materials for production
- Completing minor welding tasks with training provided
- Loading and unloading steel from machinery
- General warehouse and production duties
- Conducting basic machine checks and reporting faults
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Following workplace safety and production procedures
No previous welding experience is required, just a willingness to learn!
What you'll need to succeed
To be a star candidate for this role, our client is ideally looking for:
- Previous experience in manufacturing,
warehousing or machine operation
- Comfortable working with steel and fixed plant machinery
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Ability to perform manual handling and physical duties
