About the role – Team Leader – Operations

Working with the Branch Manager, this position provides effective and coordinated leadership and direction to the operations team to coordinate on site activities to ensure the business meets our Customers’ expectations and to ensure activities are conducted in line with the expectations of the business, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed, in the achievement of the operational and financial targets set for the branch.

This position will be based at our Mackay Branch.

Responsibilities Include:

- Lead and coordinate all inbound and outbound inventory handling, storage, and yard operations in line with company procedures.
- Oversee Yard Operatives, ensure protected equipment use, complete inspections, and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Manage stock control processes including receipting, purchase orders, transfers, and accurate system documentation.
- Communicate inventory levels, stock availability, and potential sales leads with branch, sales, and yard teams.
- Uphold Workplace Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance, safe work practices, and a productive team environment.

Skills & Experience Required

- Current Forklift license (QLD)



with extensive experience of forklift use
- Proven work experience as a Operations Team Leader or Leading Hand or similar role
- Solid knowledge of Inventory handling and supply chain processes
- Strong attention to detail with experience of conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
