About the opportunity
Our client is a privately owned development and civil construction group with more than 25 years behind it, delivering commercial, industrial and residential land projects across Queensland. Development, civil works, design and consultancy are all handled in-house, so they control each project from feasibility and approvals through to construction and delivery.
The next few years are already mapped out: more land development, industrial and commercial projects, and road works coming up, all in the Townsville region. This suits a local who wants to be part of a team that is growing and expanding here, not a fly-in crew. We are their exclusive recruitment partner, so this role is available only through us.
About the role
- Operate excavators on bulk earthworks, trenching and drainage
- Install stormwater,
sewer and water services on new subdivisions
- Work to plans, survey set-out and GPS machine guidance
- Complete daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance
- Support upcoming road works: formation, drainage and kerb preparation
About you
- Excavator ticket or verified competency on 5 - 30 tonne machines
- Current White Card
- Civil or subdivision site experience, ideally alongside pipe crews
- GPS machine guidance experience is an advantage
- MR or HR licence an advantage, not essential
