The Role

With continued growth and project wins, this business is looking for a Senior or Associate Facade Engineer to take a leading role in its facade team.

You'll run facade design and delivery on high-profile projects from concept through to fabrication and installation, with plenty of client contact along the way. High-rise and Class 2 residential experience is a real priority for this role.

The Responsibilities

- Lead facade design on high-profile projects, from concept and detailed design through to fabrication and installation.
- Design and analyse curtain wall, glazing, cladding and metal work systems, including thermal performance and weatherproofing.
- Manage multiple projects, timelines and budgets, and own deliverables against the client brief.
- Review contractor shop drawings and calculations, and carry out independent peer reviews.
- Attend site inspections and mock-up testing,



and prepare technical reports.
- Manage technical risk, safety in design and value engineering.
- Be a key point of contact for architects, builders and developers.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.

The Requirements

This role suits a senior facade engineer who enjoys leading projects and people, and being front and centre with clients. In return, you'll be able to demonstrate:

- Australian experience within an engineering design consultancy or facade contractor
- Facade experience on high-rise projects, including Class 2 residential
- Proficiency in Strand7, AutoCAD and THERM
- WUFI experience highly regarded but not essential
- 4+ years' project management experience
- A sound understanding of Australian Standards, the BCA and Design and Building Practitioners requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- CPEng and NER preferred
