The Role
As a Fire Electrician, you'll undertake a diverse range of electrical,
fire protection and building compliance activities across commercial and industrial properties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, testing, maintaining and repairing fire detection and alarm systems.
- Fault finding, diagnosing and rectifying fire detection system defects.
- Fire indicator panel maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
- Emergency and exit lighting inspections, testing and repairs.
- Electrical fault finding, maintenance and minor installation works.
- RCD testing and electrical safety inspections.
- Thermal imaging inspections.
- General electrical and lighting upgrades.
- Completing accurate digital service reports and compliance documentation.
- Working closely with our broader fire protection and building compliance teams.
- Building positive relationships with clients and delivering exceptional customer service.
No two days need to look the same.
One day you could be working on a commercial fire detection system, the next completing emergency lighting upgrades, electrical compliance inspections or investigating a challenging fault.
We want to develop well-rounded technicians who have the confidence, knowledge and skills to work across multiple service areas.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must hold, or be able to obtain the following where applicable before commencing employment:
- Current Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner Licence.

We offer a genuine career pathway into fire detection, electrical compliance, specialised technical work and potentially future leadership opportunities.
If you're looking for variety, career progression, great people and a 4-day working week, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
