Junior Property Operations Assistant – Holiday Accommodation
AirKeeper | Part-Time | 16–24 Hours Per Week
Kick-start Your Career in Property, Real Estate or Travel!
Are you practical, organised, enjoy being out and about, and take pride in doing things properly?
AirKeeper is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Property Operations Assistant to join our growing team and help ensure our holiday properties are looking their best and ready to welcome guests.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a school leaver looking to start their career, someone interested in real estate or property management, or anyone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn about the holiday accommodation industry.
No previous property management experience is required. We're looking for the right attitude, reliability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
What Will You Be Doing?
No two days will look exactly the same! You'll be out visiting properties, helping prepare homes for guests and making sure everything is working as it should.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Property Inspections: Visit our holiday properties to check their condition, presentation and functionality, ensuring everything is ready for guests.
- Property Setup & Styling: Help prepare new properties for photography and guest arrivals, including furniture placement, styling and finishing touches.
- Guest Experience Preparation: Deliver guest hampers, replenish amenities and help arrange special touches such as celebration or romantic packages.
- Maintenance Checks: Test appliances, TVs, air conditioning, lighting and other essentials, identifying and reporting anything requiring attention.
- Property Access & Keys: Install lockboxes, arrange key cutting and meet tradespeople onsite when needed.
- Stock & Inventory: Check household essentials, kitchen supplies and property inventory to ensure everything is in place.
- Reporting & Administration: Complete inspection reports, update company systems, track tasks and travel, and communicate findings to the team.
- General Operational Support:
Assist with the day-to-day tasks that keep our portfolio running smoothly and our guests happy.
Who Would Suit This Role?
We think this role would be perfect for someone who:
- Has recently finished school and is ready to take their first steps into the working world.
- Is interested in real estate, property management, holiday accommodation, tourism or hospitality.
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
- Has a keen eye for detail and notices when something isn't quite right.
- Is reliable, organised and comfortable working independently.
- Is confident using a smartphone, apps and basic technology.
- Is happy to learn, ask questions and take initiative.
- Enjoys variety, problem-solving and getting out and about.
Previous experience in real estate, hospitality, cleaning, maintenance or property inspections is helpful, but not essential. Training and guidance will be provided.
Essential requirements:
- A current driver's licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle, as you'll be travelling between properties across your allocated area.
- A smartphone and confidence using basic apps and technology.
What Does the Role Look Like?
- Part-Time: Approximately 16–24 hours per week, with 16 guaranteed hours to start.
- Flexible Working Days: Primarily Monday to Friday. Working days may vary depending on operational requirements, with rosters arranged in advance and in accordance with agreed employment conditions.
- Additional Hours: Opportunities for additional hours during busy periods, with occasional approved weekend work.
- Field-Based Work: You'll spend much of your time visiting properties rather than working from an office.
- Travel Reimbursement:
Approved work-related vehicle travel will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy and applicable employment entitlements.
- Career Development: Opportunities to grow your responsibilities and progress within AirKeeper.
