- Purchase and expedite materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services
- Optimise price, delivery and commercial terms within established purchasing procedures
- Identify cost-competitive and reliable suppliers
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Support analysis of commercial benefit initiatives across capital, maintenance and operational spend
- Ensure goods and services are ordered and received to specification
- Ensure accurate costing of materials
- Deliver responsive purchasing support to internal customer groups

- Previous experience in a similar commercial Purchasing / Buyer role
- Mining and resources experience will be highly regarded
- Sound understanding of materials and inventory management
- Experience purchasing both goods and services
- Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay and logistics processes
- Understanding of commercial and legal terms
- Previous SAP experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex activities involving financial and operational risk
- Team-oriented, team-oriented and adaptable approach
