As we continue our rapid growth journey, we're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Buyer's Assistant to join our Product & Merchandise team at our Sunshine Coast Head Office.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the Buyer's Assistant plays a key support role in executing SkinKandy's buying strategy across our jewellery and piercing categories. You'll work closely with the buying team to support product management, supplier coordination, reporting, inventory administration and range development activities.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on exposure to the end‑to‑end buying process while developing the skills and experience needed to grow within the buying function.

What You'll Be Doing

- Support the Senior Buyer with seasonal and evergreen range planning across jewellery and piercing categories
- Prepare range review documentation, line sheets and product presentations
- Coordinate product samples, including requesting, tracking, managing and maintaining the sample library
- Create and maintain product information, including SKUs, barcodes, pricing and product attributes
- Manage purchase order administration and supplier order confirmations




- Track supplier deliveries and proactively follow up outstanding orders
- Prepare weekly trade reporting, including sales performance, stock cover and product insights
- Support inventory management, stock transfers, replenishment activity and recent store allocations
- Assist with supplier onboarding and maintain compliance records and documentation
- Coordinate product photography, ecommerce imagery and product information for new launches
- Conduct competitor research and monitor emerging product and fashion trends
- Work cross‑functionally with Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, Retail Operations and Warehouse teams to support successful product launches and trading outcomes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across buying processes and administration activities

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, curious and eager to build a career in buying. You'll enjoy working with product, thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have a natural eye for detail.

You’ll ideally bring:

- 1-2 years' experience in a buying administration, merchandise coordination, product coordination or similar role
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
- Confidence working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- A genuine interest in jewellery, piercing, accessories, fashion or retail trends




- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams

Highly Regarded

- Experience within jewellery, accessories, fashion, beauty or lifestyle retail
- Exposure to ecommerce product management or online merchandising
- Experience using ERP, inventory or buying systems
- SkinKandy store experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Fashion or a related discipline
