Disruptive Recruitment is recruiting a Cabinet Draftsperson for a locally owned custom cabinetmaking business in O’Connor, Perth.
The business manufactures cabinetry and joinery for residential and commercial projects, including high-end kitchens, office fit-outs, bespoke furniture and wall panelling.
We’re looking for someone with practical cabinetry drafting experience who can produce accurate drawings using Cabinet Vision and prepare projects for CNC nesting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cabinetry and joinery drawings using Cabinet Vision.
- Interpret architectural plans and project specifications.
- Prepare drawings for CNC nesting and manufacture.
- Incorporate the correct materials, hardware and construction details into drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before production.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to clarify project requirements.
- Manage drafting priorities across residential and commercial projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Draftsperson within a cabinetmaking or joinery business.
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans.
- Experience preparing drawings for CNC nesting.
- Strong understanding of joinery materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication and a cooperative approach.
Qualifications
- A cabinetmaking trade qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant practical cabinetry drafting experience is required.
