Queensland X-Ray invites expressions of interest from experienced Registered Nurses for a six-month secondment as Senior Registered Nurse – Regional Float. This opportunity will support nursing services across hospital sites in South East Queensland, while providing the successful applicant with opportunities to broaden their clinical experience, develop leadership skills and progress their nursing career.

About The Role The Senior Registered Nurse will provide advanced clinical nursing care across radiology modalities, support local nursing teams and contribute to safe, consistent and high-quality patient care. The role requires flexibility to work across hospital sites in Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.

Locations: Brisbane (QEII, Mater Public, Mater Private, Greenslopes, Mater Springfield) and Gold Coast - Rostered under the direction of the Nursing Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Providing advanced nursing care across Ultrasound, PET, MPS, CT, Fluoroscopy/Angiography and MRI.
- Applying advanced clinical skills in IV cannulation and interventional radiology procedures.
- Supporting the orientation, coaching and development of staff in line with QXR requirements.
- Assisting with the effective management of clinical supplies, equipment and other resources.
- Actively participating in continuing professional development.
- Undertaking a portfolio project agreed with the Nursing Operations Manager, supporting professional development and improvements in patient safety, quality or nursing practice.





About you To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

- A minimum of six years' experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least four years of radiology nursing experience within QXR.

- Advanced clinical expertise and specialised nursing skills across a broad range of radiology modalities.
- Well-developed communication, collaboration, and clinical leadership capabilities.
- The ability to work effectively across diverse clinical environments and provide support to teams at multiple sites.
- A strong commitment to professional development, mentoring others, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Remuneration Clinical Nurse remuneration commensurate Level 6.0.
