An established Sydney-based passenger transport organisation is seeking an experienced, motivated and commercially minded General Manager to lead its day-to-day operations and guide the business through its next phase of development. Operating within a highly regulated industry, the organisation has an extensive history in passenger transport and is committed to delivering reliable, safe and qualified services across Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who combines strong operational management skills with technological capability, financial oversight and a commitment to regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency, service quality and financial sustainability.

Manage dispatch operations, business technology, IT systems and external service providers.

Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reporting and business administration.

Ensure compliance with NSW regulations and maintain the organisation's Safety Management System.

Manage driver and vehicle compliance, customer complaints and operational performance.

Maintain relationships with drivers, operators, regulators and other key stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for business growth,



operational improvements and technological innovation.

Report directly to the Board of Directors on operational and financial performance.

About you

Proven experience in general management, operations or a senior leadership role.

Strong financial management and business administration skills.

Excellent IT literacy and confidence managing business software and technology.

Sound understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management and workplace safety.

Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive business improvements.

Familiarity with dispatch systems.
