Edgelight is a growing Sydney lighting company, and we're looking for someone with energy and a real love of lighting to join our crew. One week you're building a custom light box in our Brookvale workshop, the next you're installing pixel-mapped LED features at a brand launch, on a TV set or at a festival. No two jobs are the same. You'll work side by side with our two directors, learn the craft from people who've been doing it for years, and grow with the business as it grows.

Key responsibilities

Installing, rigging and commissioning custom LED fixtures, pixel tape, light boxes and architectural lighting on site

Building and prepping gear in our Brookvale workshop: soldering, wiring, testing and labelling

Setting up and troubleshooting control systems (DMX, Art-Net, sACN, pixel controllers)

Bump-ins and bump-outs at venues, studios and sets, often to tight deadlines

Looking after our gear: maintenance, repairs and keeping the workshop organised

About you

You don't need to know it all on day one. We're looking for the right person: someone keen to learn the ropes, who takes pride in tidy work, stays calm when the doors are about to open, and gets a kick out of seeing a space light up. Events mean early starts, late nights and some weekends, and you'll need a full driver's licence.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience in entertainment lighting, LED installation or AV work

Low-voltage LED know-how: power injection, data runs, soldering

DMX or pixel control experience (Advatek, Enttec, Madrix, Casambi)

A White Card or EWP licence (we'll train the right person)

$75k–$90k plus super and overtime, depending on experience

Company vehicle after probation

Tools and uniform supplied

Learn directly from experienced owners in a supportive team

Real room to grow: once you can work autonomously, with diligence and skill, there's a path to more responsibility, and we'll teach you everything you need along the way

About us

Edgelight designs, builds and installs custom LED lighting for Sydney's high-end events, brand activations, TV and film. We're not a screens company: our work is pixel-mapped RGB fixtures, custom light boxes, architectural features and one-off builds.
