Vine Civil is a Melbourne-based civil construction company delivering projects for local councils and commercial builders across Victoria.

Our projects include road reconstruction, car parks, streetscape upgrades, drainage, concrete works, shared paths and landscaping.

We're a growing company with a strong pipeline of work and are looking for an experienced Civil Foreman to join our team.

About the Role

We're seeking a reliable, experienced and hands‑on Civil Foreman to manage the day‑to‑day operations of our civil construction projects.

You'll be responsible for leading site crews, coordinating subcontractors, managing plant and materials, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This role suits someone who enjoys being on‑site, takes ownership of their projects and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities.

- Lead and manage site crews, operators and subcontractors.

- Plan daily works, organise materials, plant and equipment.

- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

- Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification.

- Maintain site safety, quality and environmental standards.

- Coordinate with project managers,



builders and council representatives.

- Complete daily site diaries, timesheets and relevant site documentation.

- Identify and communicate site issues, delays and variations.

- Maintain productivity and ensure efficient use of labour and equipment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman, Supervisor or Leading Hand.

- Strong experience in civil construction, including earthworks, drainage, concreting and roadworks.

- Experience managing crews and subcontractors.

- Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings.

- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.

- A practical, hands‑on approach to getting the job done.

- A commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

- Current Driver's licence and White Card.

- Excavator and other plant operating experience will be highly regarded.
