Nurse Unit Manager – Day Surgery
Location: Regional NSW
Hours: Full-Time | Fixed Monday–Friday
Salary: $69ph + Super & $15,900 Salary Packaging
Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity is available for a perioperative nursing leader to manage a dedicated day surgery service.

You’ll oversee daily operations, lead and develop your team, and work closely with senior perioperative leadership and visiting specialists to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care.

The Role

- Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the day surgery service.
- Manage staffing, rostering, skill mix and payroll processes.
- Support staff development, performance and a positive team culture.
- Build strong relationships with visiting specialists and the wider perioperative team.
- Monitor service performance, KPIs and efficient use of resources.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, perioperative practice and infection prevention.
- Drive improvements in patient experience, theatre flow and service delivery.

Requirements





- Strong perioperative nursing experience and sound knowledge of contemporary practice standards.
- Proven people leadership and team management skills.
- Understanding of nursing management KPIs and operational performance.
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of national safety and quality standards and infection prevention requirements.
